What is Terrazzo?
Terrazzo is a combination of marble, granite, glass, or quartz chips set into cement.
What is the history of Terrazzo?
Terrazzo comes from the word “terra,” which is Latin for ground. The antiquity-inspired material can be traced back to Egyptian mosaics and became most popular in 16th-century Italy to make use of stone offcuts. It can be either poured by hand or precast into blocks and cut to size. Giving an artisanal feel to home interiors it's become a favourite for most.
Where are you located?
Insieme Homewares is based in the inner suburbs of Melbourne VIC, Australia. We’re lucky enough to be surrounded by our loving family and friends, who support us and our business.
Where are your products made?
Our products are designed and hand-cut with love right here in Australia from Terrazzo made in Italy. We’re proud to be a small made to order business that prioritises environmentally friendly practices and ethical business standards.
What eco-friendly and environmentally safe practices do you follow?
Each serveware set is created from a single piece of terrazzo to ensure zero waste and only recycled water is used during cutting.
What is the best way to care for Insieme products?
For longevity we recommend wiping pieces with a damp cloth after each use and cleaning spills as soon as possible to avoid staining. All Insieme items are not dishwasher, oven or microwave safe.
Do you ship internationally?
Unfortunately not at the moment! We currently ship Australia-wide with Sendle, a 100% carbon-neutral delivery service and enjoy seeing our products being loved by all Australians. For more details on shipping costs and delivery options, click here.
Do you ship plastic-free?
We take great care to ensure your order is prepared and shipped with the smallest environmental footprint, using recycled materials and plastic-free packaging where possible.
When will my order be dispatched?
All Insieme orders are dispatched within 10 working days unless advised otherwise. We’ll keep you in the loop with an initial email to confirm your order, and another email once your order has been dispatched. Do you work with brand ambassadors?

Do you offer refunds or returns?
In the unlikely event of faulty or damaged products, we will happily offer a refund for goods returned within 30 days (unused and in original packaging). Visit our returns page for more information on our refund policy and processing your return.
